Artist Statement

Jo Polmear grew up in North Yorkshire and now lives on the edge of the Peak District. These landscapes influence her work as starting points for sketching, observing and recording how they change with season and weather
Jo’s works are colourful semi abstract, expressive responses to the world around. She works in a variety of mediums often experimenting with collage, watercolour, acrylic, oils and natural pigments.
