Artist Statement

My work is often inspired by both the landscape around me as well as those visited when travelling. Although landscape is often the starting point the work is usually abstract or semi abstract and seldom depicts a particular place. It is more often an amalgamation of memories that are linked to the feelings evoked by different areas, rather than a figurative depiction of them.
