Artist Statement

I experiment with different mark making methods, drawing, mixed media, watercolour, acrylic, ink and printmaking. Exploring landscapes, layers, traces of human activity and evidence of patterns and textures in nature. Translating my connection with perpetual observation, reoccurring themes, boundaries, enclosures, tracks and water reflect the impermanence of nature. Inspired by the Peak District, memory and intuition inform my creative practice while I contemplate the inner and outer landscape around me.
